Rehabilitation Department

The Rehabilitation Department Services include treatment of disease, injury and disability by assessment, examination, and use of rehabilitative procedures. Individualized program is developed after evaluation to prevent or minimize residual physical and mental disabilities, and to aid the patient in achieving their maximum potential within their capabilities and reduce the length of functional recovery.

Rehabilitation Services provided are as following:

  • Physical Therapy services
  • Occupational Therapy Services
  • Speech-Language Pathology Services


Physical Therapy Services:

Physical Therapy Services primary focus is on those individuals with neuro-muscular, skeletal, skin, pulmonary and cardiovascular disorders and evaluating the level of function related to these disorders. This leads to the selection and implementation of appropriate therapeutic procedures to maintain, improve or restore these functions.

Services may include, but are not limited to:

  • Functional Mobility: Bed Mobility, Transfer Training
  • Gait Training
  • Balance and Coordination Training
  • Neuromuscular Re-education
  • Therapeutic Exercises
  • Orthotic and Prosthetic Fitting and Training
  • Early Mobilization Training with Vent patients
  • Use of Physical Agents and Modalities
  • Adaptive Equipment Recommendation and Training

Occupational Therapy Services

Speech Therapy Services

The Speech Pathologist identify, assess and provide treatment for individuals with conditions such as swallowing difficulties, cognitive and communication disorders such as aphasia, apraxia and dysarthria

Services may include, but are not limited to:

  • Bedside Swallow Evaluation
  • Modified Barium Swallow Studies
  • Therapeutic Facial Exercises
  • Speech and Language training
  • Cognitive Retraining
  • Training in Augmentative and Alternative Communication System Training
