Hospital Financial Analyst
Assist CFO to maintain and continuously measure financial and statistical performance against quantifiable targets. More specifically maintain audit recovery plan to monitor revenue and expenses, compare capitation membership against the claims data to check for any discrepancies; notify medical management department of non-delegated claims; handles the recoupment of identified receivables; Assists in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and statutory purposes. The Financial Analyst is responsible for financial reporting and analysis as well as preparing and analyzing budgets, Medicare cost reports, and other financial data. The incumbent serves as an internal consultant to other departments. Ability to analyze data to identify trends and anomalies. Able to produce conclusions that can be relied upon for operational and strategic decisions.
Responsible for reviewing and auditing financial data for both business and development purposes to support department’s ongoing strategic planning. Perform high level analysis of revenue and financial performance in collaboration with department supervisors.
Assisting with the development of short and long term financial forecasts and development of accurate monthly and quarterly forecasts to ensure attainment of operating plan goals.
Plan and execute the annual revenue and expense budget process including preparation of worksheets and review of all submitted data or reports with the department managers. Report directly to the CFO.
Assist with annual operating plans, strategic plans, business reviews, post audits, capital analysis and acquisition modeling.
Assist in providing financial and business decision support for both on-going business activities and the analysis of new opportunities. Report directly to the chief officers.
Prepare, analyze and review the financial reports. Monitors and analyzes revenues and actual expense in relation to budget. Monitors variances from budget and makes adjustment to plans as appropriate.
